The View

The View

The View is set above the lovely coastal town of Paignton. The Home enjoys beautiful sea views of the area surrounding Torquay and Brixham. The town centre is just 500 yards away and there are bus stops nearby for travel further afield.

This newly refurbished Home is comfortably furnished throughout creating a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Some bedrooms have lovely sea views. All are fully furnished to a high standard. The two sitting rooms also have sea views and are comfortably furnished.

We have a team of highly motivated, experienced Registered Nurses and skilled staff who are friendly and caring. Our ongoing training programme ensures that our residents live in pleasant, homely surroundings with a high standard of care and service tailored to suit each individual's requirements while helping them to maintain their dignity and as much independence as possible.

Our Purpose

The view is the home of individuals who are all unique, so care will be designed, delivered, then evaluated to make sure each resident is enabled and esteemed as someone who feels they are special. The view is a home in the community, so a principal aim to maintain, renew and make valid links for the residents with relatives, friends, neighbours and, where feasible, to make ones with new people.

There will be no discrimination on the basis of gender, creed, race, age or diagnosis. Relating to every resident as an equal will mean The view is a home not an institution.

The rationale that informs these policies confirms to certain and constant standards, but this thinking is changed in the light of experience. So there is a continuous need to review our style and method of caring during the evolution of the home. Since The View is unlike any other home, its policies will both result from and direct what happens here-they cannot be delivered for stereotypes or applied, unmodified, elsewhere.
